The project "Healthy lifestyle – We think globally, We act locally" benefits from a grant of €19,609.50 received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA funds.
The aim of the project is to create a change in attitudes - making participants aware of new examples and solutions implemented in the Norwegian education system.
The project "Healthy lifestyle - we think globally we act locally" is addressed to principals and teachers of primary and secondary schools implementing the "Health promoting school" programme. Health-promoting schools are institutions implementing systemic health promotion activities based on a multi-faceted approach to health (physical, mental, social and spiritual aspects). The target group of the project are principals and teachers from schools with the National Certificate of Health Promoting School received for many years of health promotion activity (30 schools). The diagnosis made in the above mentioned schools in the scope of improvement (2018/2019) indicated the need to carry out training in healthy eating and various forms of physical activity based on practical solutions in the Norwegian school system. As part of the project, participants will take part in 5-day workshops and an open training to summarise the project. The training will be conducted by trainers from Norway.

Project objectives
Professional development of participants:
- increase of participants' knowledge and awareness of the implementation of nutritional and physical education of children and youth at school,
- Creating a change in attitudes - enriching participants with new examples and solutions from the Norwegian education system,
- to make changes in schools based on practical solutions implemented in the Norwegian education system.
Development of participating institutions:
- training of headmasters and teachers in the implementation of nutritional and physical education for children and young people at school,
- preparing participants to introduce changes in schools based on practical solutions implemented in the Norwegian education system.
Other target groups:
- schools in the Podkarpackie voivodeship. Preparing participants to disseminate changes in schools based on practical solutions implemented in the Norwegian education system.
